Nova Post closes its branch in Sviatohirsk due to shelling and the risk of drone attacks

The company 'Nova Post' announced the closure of its branch in Sviatohirsk in the Donetsk region due to intense shelling, the approach of the front, and the risk of drone attacks on cars. This was reported by the company.

'In recent months, we were the only business that continued to operate there. Our branch became a real point of resilience, where hundreds of residents of the city and surrounding areas could receive medicines, food, humanitarian aid, charge their mobile phones, connect to the internet, and contact their relatives', - the message states.

The company emphasized the courage of its employees, who continued to work even under difficult conditions.

'Thanks to our colleagues, in November alone, city residents sent and received 3,458 parcels, which is 115 shipments daily', - the message added.

Company's plans for the future

The post indicated that they delayed the closure moment, but the situation became critically dangerous.

'Due to intense shelling, the approach of the front, and the hunting of drones for cars, we are closing our last branch in Sviatohirsk', - the message states.

'Despite the company's exit from Sviatohirsk, we remain in the Donetsk region. 37 branches of Nova Post continue to operate, and we plan to open two more by the end of the year. Nova Post will definitely return at the first opportunity, as it did in October 2022, after the de-occupation of the city', - emphasized 'Nova Post'.

Destruction of the branch in Chuhuiv

It should be noted that on the night of November 7, due to hits from Russian drones, the branch №1 of 'Nova Post' in the city of Chuhuiv was destroyed. It is reported that employees and clients were not harmed, but there were 523 parcels in the branch, with a declared value of nearly 10 million UAH.

By using the services of 'Nova Post', Ukrainians send parcels not only within Ukraine but also abroad. However, shipping some items in international parcels is prohibited.

The company 'Nova Post' made a difficult decision to close its branch in Sviatohirsk due to the risk of shelling and drone attacks, but plans to expand its presence in the region after the conflict ends. Despite the difficult circumstances, the company continues to provide services in the Donetsk region and plans to open new branches for residents of the region.
