Ukraine's Nova Poshta Now Verifies Private Starlink Terminals

Українська компанія Nova Poshta почала перевірку приватних терміналів Starlink.

Starlink Terminal Verification in Ukraine

In partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Nova Poshta delivery service has launched a new service for private individuals to register their Starlink satellite internet terminals at its branches. This initiative aims to regulate civilian use of the terminals, improving oversight and ensuring proper equipment registration. This move is part of broader efforts to maintain critical communications infrastructure during the ongoing conflict.

The Verification Process

The procedure involves generating a separate document for each device. Once registered, the information is automatically sent to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, which will simplify future terminal servicing. Users can track their verification status through their personal Starlink app account, providing convenience and transparency.

To speed up the process, the company recommends completing preliminary online registration. To register a terminal, users will need to provide the following documents:

  • Passport (ID card or foreign passport)
  • Taxpayer Registration Number (RNO)
  • KIT-number (serial number of the kit)
  • UTID and/or Dish ID
  • Starlink portal account number
  • Link to the portal for verifying this number

This service represents a significant step toward ensuring the effective and accountable use of Starlink technology in Ukraine. The rollout of Starlink terminal verification marks a key development in the country's digital infrastructure, particularly given the current need for reliable internet access. This initiative should make it easier for users to access satellite internet while providing a framework for equipment control and registration, enhancing both security and operational efficiency. It may also serve as a model for regulating other digital services in Ukraine.
