A New Overnight Delivery Service from Nova Poshta
Nova Poshta has kicked off a pilot program for nighttime parcel deliveries to its automated lockers in five cities across Ukraine. This service enables customers to pick up their packages between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, and Dnipro. In May, the company delivered nearly 160,000 parcels, and the average delivery time to a parcel locker dropped from 26.5 hours at the start of the year to 20.5 hours.
Future Expansion Plans
Following a successful trial, Nova Poshta intends to roll out this service more broadly. Company representative Ivan Bohutskyi stated:
“For now, nighttime delivery operates as a pilot. After we complete testing successfully, we plan to scale this initiative and launch overnight parcel locker delivery in all million-plus cities and regional centers of Ukraine. Our goal is to build a logistics system that is as seamless and invisible as possible—so that when a customer wakes up, their package is already waiting for them.” - Ivan Bohutskyi
Meanwhile, Ukrposhta has expanded its own network of parcel lockers in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, and Khmelnytskyi, further improving logistics services across Ukraine. Starting July 1, 27 European Union countries will gradually introduce new rules for commercial parcels, affecting shipments valued over 45 euros. Additionally, Meest Poshta has announced a change in delivery fees, effective April 20, 2026, due to rising costs in key logistics components.
These shifts in the delivery industry highlight how companies are constantly evolving and adapting to customer needs and international standards. Nova Poshta’s overnight service could become a key differentiator in the competitive logistics market, especially as Ukrposhta and other operators expand their locker networks. Such initiatives may also reshape consumer habits by offering the convenience of picking up parcels at any hour.
As Nova Poshta enhances its delivery offerings with overnight parcel locker service, other logistics providers are also adapting to meet customer demands. For instance, Ukrposhta has introduced fast-access lockers at numerous branches, allowing for quicker parcel pickups without the hassle of queues. This competitive landscape underscores the evolving nature of logistics in Ukraine, as companies strive to provide more efficient solutions for their clients.
