The newcomer of the Ukrainian national team, Velentyn, debuted in the victorious match against Iceland

In October, the national football team of Ukraine deployed midfielder Vladyslav Velentyn onto the field for the first time. The young player replaced Oleksii Hutsuliak in the 87th minute of the match against Iceland. This marks the 17th case of a player's debut under our coach, Serhii Rebrov.

In another match, our team secured a victory against Azerbaijan in the qualifying match for the World Cup. It is worth mentioning that the previous match, the Ukrainian team also won, defeating Iceland.

Earlier, the national team suffered a defeat against France with a score of 0:2 in the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. The game took place at the stadium in Wroclaw, Poland.


During this important match against France, Ukrainian fans supported the national team by unfurling a banner with the inscription 'Fortress of Europe'.
