Launch of the Digital Primary Medical Card
A new Digital Primary Medical Card (ePMC) has been integrated into the MedEvac application, creating a vital tool for rescuing wounded soldiers. This system captures and makes medical data available at every stage of evacuation. As a result, doctors at hospitals can learn a servicemember's condition and prepare for surgery even before the patient arrives. This advancement reduces the risk of errors and repeated procedures, while also saving the time previously spent on paperwork and freeing up more time for providing direct care.
To support this system, the 'Come Back Alive' charity foundation has supplied 4,060 tablets to Defense Forces medics for use with the ePMC. Information logged into the system is securely stored and cannot be lost in transit, ensuring each soldier retains a complete medical history. This digital record also serves as official documentation of injury for military medical commissions and subsequent benefit payments. The implementation of the ePMC in MedEvac is therefore set to significantly improve the entire process of medical evacuation and treatment for the wounded. This innovation addresses a critical need in modern warfare, where rapid, coordinated care is essential for survival.
System Advantages
Introducing the Digital Primary Medical Card into the MedEvac system represents a major leap forward in military medical aid. It not only increases the efficiency of delivering medical services but also guarantees the reliable preservation of medical data, which is critically important in combat conditions.
Thanks to the support of the 'Come Back Alive' foundation, medics now have the necessary technology to enhance their work, which can substantially influence treatment outcomes for injured military personnel. This public-private partnership highlights how technological aid is being directly channeled to the frontline to save lives.
