The Ministry of Education and Science has announced the cancellation of the order on distance learning in schools. Certain provisions from the order that regulated the number of students in remote classes and requirements for internally displaced children have now been canceled.

'Important provisions from these orders regarding the safety of children and communities are retained. These norms will be included in a separate regulatory document after consultations with the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and deputies, as well as in accordance with all requirements', the Ministry of Education and Science noted.

Changes in requirements for distance learning

From now on, the requirements for remote classes will be similar to those for in-person and mixed classes. According to the legislation, a class can be opened with a minimum of 5 students.

Schools can now create remote learning classes regardless of all parallels.

Further opportunities for distance learning

Students who are internally displaced will be able to continue their education in a remote format regardless of their location. The changes will not affect the operation of remote schools.
