Strikes on Energy Infrastructure
Fresh power outages have been reported in Ukraine's Kharkiv and Kherson regions after Russian attacks damaged critical energy infrastructure. As of 9:30 AM Friday, national electricity consumption was 1.7% lower than the previous day. Authorities are asking citizens to consider weather conditions and high energy usage, recommending that heavy consumption be shifted to the period when solar power plants are most effective—between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
“Please use electricity sparingly and avoid switching on multiple high-power appliances simultaneously during the evening peak hours from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM,” Ukrenergo stated.

In a separate incident on March 27, a drone attack in Kharkiv caused significant damage to a nine-story residential building. The strike injured eight people and partially destroyed internal structures and a balcony on the top floor. This attack followed other bombardments, including a series of strikes by Russian attack drones on the morning of March 25, which resulted in explosions and impacts in several city districts.
Earlier, in Kharkiv Oblast, an enemy drone attacked an electric train on the Slatyne-Kharkiv route, killing one person and injuring others.
