“December 30 will be a transitional day”

and colleague Ivan Semylyta added that snow is possible on New Year's in Ukraine, although not in all regions.

Weather during the New Year holidays in Ukraine will create a characteristic winter atmosphere, which may influence traditional celebrations. As temperatures drop and snow precipitation is possible, this may encourage Ukrainians to actively celebrate the holiday outdoors, as well as affect travel plans and festive activities.

Meteorological forecasts emphasize the importance of the population's readiness for winter conditions, especially in the context of safety on roads and in homes.
