Святкування Нового року: Петарди дозволені, але феєрверки під забороною.

Rules for Using Pyrotechnics in Ukraine During the New Year's Holidays

On New Year's Eve in Ukraine, the use of firecrackers and sparklers is allowed, however, the launch of fireworks remains strictly prohibited. This was reported by Victoria Ponomaryova, Deputy Head of the Communications Department of the National Police of Ukraine. She noted that legislative restrictions are in place regarding the circulation and use of pyrotechnics in Ukraine.

According to the law of Ukraine 'On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Use and Circulation of Pyrotechnic Products', the use of salutes, fireworks, and firecrackers is prohibited. This decision aims to ensure the safety of citizens and reduce the risks associated with the use of dangerous pyrotechnic devices. Safety rules remain unchanged - both on weekdays and holidays, and New Year's Eve is no exception.

Responsibility for Violating the Rules

Violating the silence rules during the New Year's holidays may result in a fine of:

  • from 85 to 255 hryvnias for individuals;
  • from 255 to 510 hryvnias for officials and individual entrepreneurs.

Moreover, the violation may be classified as hooliganism, which entails a fine of 17 thousand to 34 thousand hryvnias.

The National Police, together with military personnel, will carry out increased patrols on the streets during New Year's Eve. The curfew will operate as usual during this time, which also aims to ensure public order and safety. The implementation of these measures emphasizes the importance of adhering to laws and regulations during the holiday period.

The ban on the use of fireworks in Ukraine emphasizes the priority of population safety, especially under potential threats. Increased police and military patrols during New Year's Eve also indicate that government agencies aim to maintain order during the festive time.
