Incident on the Dnipro River
On New Year's night, December 31, in the village of Hradizk in the Poltava region, three people became stranded on a boat in the ice on the Dnipro River. The incident occurred around midnight when those on the boat found themselves approximately 200 meters from the shore.
One of the men managed to reach the shore and inform the local services about the danger, allowing rescuers to intervene promptly. Rescuers retrieved another man and a woman who remained on the boat. An airboat was used to rescue the woman, which helped to successfully complete the operation 50 meters from the shore.
