The 7th Airborne Assault Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing for action in the Pokrovsk area
The new 7th Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is preparing to carry out tasks on the hottest front line - in the Pokrovsk area.
In an interview with ArmyInform, the corps commander Colonel Evgeny Lasiichuk stated: 'I can't tell you everything, but we are talking about, perhaps, the hottest front line - the defense of Pokrovsk. We will complete all assigned tasks.'
The colonel emphasized the high level of training of each airborne brigade in the corps, noting that the units continually improve their skills. 'A paratrooper does not prepare only when performing a combat mission. The rest of the time: training, implementing the latest combat experience, applying new technologies,' explained Evgeny Lasiichuk.
The colonel also noted that the corps is equipped with armored vehicles; however, the relevance of using heavy equipment is reduced due to the specifics of combat operations. Due to enemy control of certain territories, heavy equipment can become an object of fire damage, which is why priority is given to unmanned systems and robotic complexes.
Commander Lasiichuk added: 'Robots can perform various tasks: fire damage, using machine guns, installing or removing engineering barriers, creating passages for further actions.'
Colonel Lasiichuk spoke about the readiness of the 7th Airborne Assault Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for actions in the Pokrovsk area, emphasizing the importance of continuously improving the level of training and using the latest technologies at the front. The specifics of combat operations convince military personnel to actively use unmanned systems and robotic complexes.
