On the night of April 16, Ukrainian drones struck the oil refinery in Tuapse in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Following the hits, a large fire broke out at the facility, damaging the infrastructure. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Strike on the Tuapse refinery on April 16: what damages have been recorded
According to the General Staff, the Tuapse refinery has a processing capacity of about 12 million tons of oil per year and is used to supply the Russian army.
As a result of the attack, key elements of the facility were damaged:

deepwater oil-loading stands

pipeline infrastructure

tanks of the marine terminal

objects of the oil refinery itself.
After the strike, a strong fire broke out on the territory of the plant. According to preliminary data, the fire could have engulfed at least three tanks. The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.
UAF drone attack: what other targets were hit
According to sources, drones from the Alpha special operations center of the SBU were involved in the operation in cooperation with security and defense forces.
In addition to the refinery, Ukrainian forces also struck other military targets of the enemy:

the area of concentration of the 15th coastal missile brigade in Sevastopol

anti-aircraft missile systems 'Buk-M2', 'Pantsir' and 'Osa'

the enemy control point near Rivnopil in Donetsk region

control points for UAVs in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
It is also reported that a multifunctional radar station 50N6E was hit and enemy manpower losses were incurred in several areas.
The Tuapse refinery is one of the key facilities of the fuel infrastructure in southern Russia. It processes significant volumes of oil and logistics of fuel, including for military needs.
It should be noted that based on the results of 2025, the losses of Russian oil companies from attacks on refineries are estimated at over 1 trillion rubles, which is approximately equivalent to 12.9 billion US dollars.
