Regional Authorities Draft Resilience Plans
A meeting was held with the heads of Ukraine's regional military administrations to discuss preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2026/2027. The central focus was on ensuring the resilience of critical life support systems, including heating, water, electricity, transport, hospitals, and social infrastructure. This proactive planning is a crucial part of national security, especially given the ongoing challenges the country faces.
Each regional military administration head must submit a detailed resilience plan for their region within two weeks. These plans must specify key facilities, available capacities, backup reserves, funding sources, and a clear implementation timeline. Once prepared, the plans will be submitted for final approval to the President and the Prime Minister.
Why Winter Preparedness is Critical
Preparing for the winter season is a vital step to ensure stability and safety across Ukraine. The approved resilience plans will not only help avert potential crises but also guarantee comfortable living conditions for the population during the cold months. Ensuring a reliable supply of essential services is a top priority for the government.
Cooperation between regional and central authorities will be a decisive factor in successfully implementing these initiatives.
