The Cabinet of Ministers has lifted restrictions on leaving the country during martial law for a specific category of female officials. The new rules apply to female employees of governmental authorities, local self-government, and state enterprises. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

Departure abroad allowed for female employees of state agencies and communal structures

According to the government decision, women who work in state authorities, local self-government, state enterprises, and other defined structures can now cross the state border without additional restrictions.

The Cabinet explains that the changes were made to regulate the rules of departure during martial law and to eliminate discrepancies in the application of restrictions.

The new rules apply only to a portion of officials and do not pertain to the highest levels of state leadership.

Rules for state leadership remain unchanged

Restrictions will continue to apply to members of the Cabinet of Ministers, leadership of ministries, and central executive authorities.

The rules for the following remain unchanged:

  1. Employees of the President's Office.
  2. Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada.
  3. National Security and Defense Council and the Security Service of Ukraine.
  4. National Bank of Ukraine.
  5. People's deputies.
  6. Judges of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court.
  7. Prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

In addition, restrictions will continue to apply to heads of state enterprises and state authorities whose jurisdiction covers the entire territory of Ukraine.

The government explained the reason for maintaining restrictions

The Cabinet notes that the rules for the highest officials of the state have not changed in order to ensure the continuous operation of government bodies under martial law.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has repeatedly changed the rules for leaving the country for civil servants and officials. Some restrictions were tightened due to security issues and control over the work of the government apparatus.
