Coordination Seminar on the Implementation of the Strategic Review of Defense Procurement


A second coordination seminar on the implementation of the Strategic Review of Defense Procurement (SDPR) Ukraine-NATO was held in Kyiv. This event was an important step towards improving Ukraine's defense procurement system, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.



Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, government structures of Ukraine, the NATO headquarters, the NATO representation in Ukraine and partner countries took part in the seminar. The main goal of the events is the effective implementation of SDPR recommendations to create a transparent and effective defense procurement system.



'This seminar is clear evidence that we do not only talk about strategies on paper, but also implement them in practice. Our main goal is to provide the Armed Forces with the most modern equipment through honest and effective procurement,' emphasized Colonel Alexander Osadchy, Acting Director of the Procurement Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.


Coordination seminars have become an important platform for practical cooperation with NATO, exchanging experiences among all key Ukrainian participants. They contribute to improving the coordination of actions, identifying gaps, and clearly distributing responsibilities in the procurement reform process.



During the second coordination seminar on the implementation of the SDPR strategy Ukraine-NATO, issues of improving the defense procurement system in Ukraine and cooperation with international partners to provide the army with modern technologies and equipment were discussed.
