Shelling of Kyiv's Energy Infrastructure
On December 27, a large-scale shelling occurred in Kyiv, resulting in severe damage to the energy infrastructure. As a result, three districts of the capital — Dniprovskyi, Desnianskyi, and Darnytskyi — are returning to power outage schedules, which will come into effect again from January 6. This decision is prompted by the need to restore stability in electricity supply under new challenges.
Power Outage Schedules
According to the new schedules, power outages will be carried out in certain queues. For example:
- 1.1 queue: outages from 06:00 to 09:00 and from 15:30 to 20:00
- 1.2 queue: from 05:00 to 09:00 and from 15:30 to 19:30
- 2.1 queue: without power from 08:00 to 10:30 and from 15:30 to 19:30

Maxym Tymchenko noted that this winter will be the hardest for Ukrainians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Residents of the capital must be prepared for possible restrictions in electricity supply in the near future.
The situation with energy supply in Kyiv indicates the difficult conditions in which Ukrainians find themselves as a result of military actions and infrastructure shelling. The introduction of power outage schedules is a necessary step to ensure stable supply, as the restoration of energy infrastructure takes time and resources. It also emphasizes the importance of residents' readiness for changes in everyday life in times of crisis.
