Shelling Strikes Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian shelling has struck two districts within Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage to infrastructure. The attacks targeted the Nikopol district, specifically hitting the city of Nikopol and the communities of Myrove, Pokrovska, and Marhanets. The shelling also affected the Pokrovska and Vasylkivska communities in the Synelnykivskyi district. In this area, fires broke out in an administrative building, a garage, and an outbuilding, though all blazes were subsequently extinguished. Two women sustained injuries in the Synelnykivskyi district, bringing the total number of civilians wounded across both districts to three. These strikes are part of the wider Russian invasion of Ukraine, now in its third year, which continues to inflict a heavy toll on civilian areas far from the front lines.
