Pilot Testing of the eQueue System in Odesa Region

Odesa region has been selected as the first area to test the eQueue system designed for passenger cars. This announcement was made during the Transport Forum held in Odesa. The initiative is part of Ukraine's broader push to digitize its transportation sector, aiming to make border crossings more convenient and predictable for citizens.

The eQueue system has already proven effective for freight trucks and bus services. Now, plans are underway to extend this service to passenger vehicles. Additionally, work is ongoing to update the system, which includes streamlining traffic priorities for companies with authorized economic operator status.

“We are simultaneously working on updating the eQueue system to organize traffic priorities, particularly for companies holding authorized economic operator status,” forum participants stated.

Electronic Consignment Note

The primary format for the electronic consignment note (e-TTN) was also presented and is now available for use. Efforts to scale this tool are continuing in collaboration with the business community.

“We are advancing the digitalization of the transport sector and developing services that make border crossings more predictable and convenient for people,” forum speakers added.

It is important to note that, despite the ongoing war, Ukraine is maintaining its logistics operations and pushing forward with modernization. The transport system remains a critical pillar of the nation's economic resilience. “Today, we are shaping a new vision for Odesa region as a key logistics hub for the country and the Black Sea region,” participants emphasized, calling on businesses, investors, and international partners to join in developing Ukraine's transport and logistics infrastructure.

The launch of the eQueue system for passenger cars in Odesa region could represent a significant step in modernizing Ukraine's transport processes, addressing the growing demand for convenience and efficiency at border crossings. Implementing this project has the potential to improve logistics solutions for both citizens and businesses, which in turn could stimulate economic growth in the region. A successful rollout of this initiative may serve as a model for other regions in the country where digitalization and transport infrastructure improvements are also pressing priorities.

In addition to the eQueue system for passenger vehicles, the ongoing advancements in Ukraine's transport sector include the upcoming launch of automatic verification for commercial vehicles. Starting May 12, this new feature aims to enhance efficiency and streamline processes for logistics, further supporting the nation's goal of modernizing its transport infrastructure amidst challenging circumstances.
