Tomorrow, October 2, a day of mourning has been declared in the Odesa region due to the death of nine people in Odesa as a result of the bad weather. This was reported by 'Hromadske' citing the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleg Kiper.
“Among those who died are five members of one family, including a child. This is an unspeakable pain for all of Odesa and our common loss. Tomorrow, on the day of mourning, flags of Ukraine will be lowered at the buildings of government authorities, enterprises, institutions, and organizations in the region, and entertainment events will be limited,” the message reads.
In early September, a terrible disaster occurred in Odesa. People lost their lives due to the bad weather, which destroyed many houses and caused serious flooding. Now, in the city, efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the disaster, where rescuers from the State Emergency Service and other volunteers are working. The bad weather caused significant material damage, but most importantly – human losses and tragedy for the families of the deceased.
