An officer of the TCC and SP of Mykolaiv region has been notified of suspicion of intentionally causing bodily harm to a conscript during mobilization activities. This information became known as a result of an investigation conducted by the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI). The suspicion concerns Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for liability for intentional infliction of light bodily injuries.

Systemic Violations and Law Enforcement Response

At least 30 complaints have been received by the SBI from citizens reporting unlawful actions of employees of the Ship District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center. The number of appeals indicating a systemic nature of violations has raised concern among law enforcement agencies.

The SBI emphasized that martial law cannot be a justification for violence or exceeding official powers.

Law enforcement continues the investigation in this case to establish all the circumstances of the event and bring those responsible to justice.

This case highlights the importance of upholding the law and human rights, even in the challenging conditions of martial law. The law enforcement agencies' response to numerous complaints indicates the authorities' readiness to combat potential abuses by civil servants. Further investigations may reveal not only individual cases but also systemic issues in the operation of territorial recruitment centers, necessitating comprehensive changes in their activities.
