The Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia led to a strike on the External Crisis Center of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. According to the information from the ministry, the office building sustained damage.

The External Crisis Center plays an important role in the safety system of the station. The conditions under which the automatic transmission of data on nuclear and radiation status is blocked underscore the importance of the specialists' work at the center, who ensure constant monitoring of radiation in the observation zone.

'The attack on the infrastructure that controls the radiation situation indicates the irresponsible policy of the aggressor, who violates international law. This creates a real threat to nuclear safety not only for Ukraine but for all of Europe,' said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk.

The Ministry of Energy calls on international organizations and foreign partners to strengthen sanctions against the aggressor and to take immediate measures to protect nuclear infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

As a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, the External Crisis Center of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, which plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the station and monitoring the radiation situation, was damaged. The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy urges the international community to increase pressure on Russia and to protect the country's nuclear infrastructure.
