Similar events were previously recorded in the Russian Belgorod. On the night of July 17, a series of powerful explosions occurred in the city caused by a drone attack. According to 'Glavkom', panic began after 10:00 PM local time due to a series of explosions accompanied by smoke and fire.

The information about the drone attack was initially spread on social media and Telegram channels, and later confirmed by the governor of Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Ukraine's Response

On July 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck at the Russian military-industrial complex - the Izhevsk Electric Mechanical Plant 'Kupol' in the Udmurt Republic. This operation was carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in cooperation with other military units. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this action aimed to reduce the potential of the Russian air defense. The 'Kupol' plant produces anti-aircraft missile systems for the Russian army.

In July, drone attacks were recorded in Donetsk and Belgorod, raising concerns in the region. These events reflect the tense situation in the Donbas and its surroundings, as well as show the readiness of both sides to use the latest technologies in combat. Ukraine's response to threats from armed formations and the use of drones demonstrates the importance of controlling the situation and the country's defense capability.
