Oleksandr Usyk’s Recent Trip to Montenegro
On September 18-19, 2026, Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk traveled to Montenegro to participate in the Connectuj.me conference. During his stay, he delivered a keynote titled “Champion’s Legacy,” held a charity auction, and met with Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić.
Usyk also visited the Ostrog Orthodox Monastery and engaged with local media representatives. The charity auction, organized by the Usyk Foundation, featured exclusive items such as:
- a signed replica of Usyk’s WBC championship belt
- autographed boxing gloves
All proceeds from the auction will support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
Additionally, Usyk met at the Ukrainian Embassy in Montenegro with diplomats, volunteers, and children displaced by the ongoing conflict. Prime Minister Spajić praised Usyk’s visit, calling him a
“symbol of unbreakable spirit.”This highlights the significance of Usyk’s role as a beacon of hope for the Ukrainian community abroad.

Since becoming the WBO world champion in September 2021, Usyk has maintained an undefeated professional record of 24 wins, including 15 knockouts. He has also held the WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles. However, on June 26, 2026, he announced the decision to vacate all his heavyweight belts.
