The Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Oleksii Sobolev met with the chairman of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo Jeppe Kofod and other independent members.
During the meeting, issues concerning the stabilization of operations in the energy sector were discussed, including the formation and updating of supervisory boards and conducting operational audits to gain clarity on the situation in the enterprises.
Members of the Supervisory Board expressed their wishes regarding the update of corporate governance and its compliance with the statute and international standards. The state also plans to appoint its representative to the Supervisory Board and consider issues requiring government decisions for collaboration with relevant authorities.
As part of the meeting, representatives of Ukrenergo discussed the issues of energy sector stabilization and corporate governance updates with Minister Oleksii Sobolev and his colleagues. Further cooperation between the government and the supervisory board will ensure more effective management of the company and contribute to the development of the Ukrainian energy sector.
