National Guard’s Oleksiy Tosmuk Honored with Combat Merit Cross for Rescuing Six Wounded Soldiers

The Courage of Oleksiy Tosmuk

Junior Sergeant Oleksiy Tosmuk of the National Guard of Ukraine has served on multiple fronts, including the Pokrovske sector. Currently, he holds the position of senior scout in the special reconnaissance company of the 14th Brigade "Chervona Kalyna." On August 13, 2025, alongside a fellow soldier, he discovered a collapse at nearby positions caused by enemy shelling. Together, they managed to dig out six wounded comrades, each suffering varying degrees of injury, without external assistance.
