Premiere of 'Aeneid' Draws High-Profile Guests

Olena Zelenska was present for the debut performance of 'Aeneid,' staged by the Theater of Veterans. The event took place as part of Barrier-Free Week. Joining her in the audience were Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture Tetiana Berezhna.

During the show, Zelenska remarked that the 'Aeneid' features modern-day Cossacks who have endured a difficult journey. She highlighted how performing on stage helps them reframe their wartime experiences and discover new opportunities. She also underscored the need for accessible art, stating:

“Not only during Barrier-Free Week, but every day, all year round, we must remember this and make art accessible for everyone and for ourselves.”

Project’s Core Mission

The initiative’s central goal is to help veterans find inner healing and self-expression through words, music, and physical movement. Recently, Olena Zelenska and President Volodymyr Zelensky also attended the opening of the exhibition 'Ivan Marchuk. Museum Collections' at the 'Chocolate House' art center. Details about the 'Aeneid' premiere visit were released on the Presidential Office website.

This attendance signals a growing focus on cultural programs that aid veteran rehabilitation and promote barrier-free access in the arts. It underscores the importance of supporting and integrating people affected by war through creative expression. Such events can play a key role in helping veterans recover and reintegrate into society.
