Olga Stefanishyna Steps Down
Olga Stefanishyna, former Deputy Prime Minister and Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, has officially resigned from her position. She cited personal reasons and issues involving close associates as the main factors behind her decision. Additionally, her lawyer Illya Novikov noted that sanctions targeting Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, have added to Stefanishyna’s personal difficulties.
After concluding her diplomatic mission, Stefanishyna returned to Ukraine. She stressed that her ambassadorial work faced no official questions but chose to resign to avoid creating circumstances that would compel the president to address calls for her dismissal.
