Opening Ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympics

The Opening Ceremony for the XXV Winter Olympic Games in 2026 will be held on February 6th at 21:00 Kyiv time. The honor of carrying the Ukrainian flag during the ceremony has been awarded to skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych and short-track speed skater Yelyzaveta Sydorko. The event will be broadcast live on the Pershyi television channel, as well as on the Suspilne Sport platforms, local Suspilne channels, and the Suspilne Sport YouTube channel.

Host Cities and Delegation Details

The ceremony will be held simultaneously across multiple cities, including Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Livigno, and Predazzo. The main show, titled 'Harmony,' will take place at the San Siro stadium, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. The ceremony is being produced by Balich Wonder Studio.

Ukraine's official Olympic delegation consists of 103 individuals. The delegation breakdown is as follows:

  • 46 athletes
  • 42 coaches and technical staff
  • 15 team management members
