A power issue interrupted the mixed doubles curling competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The first session of these matches, which were the inaugural events of the 2026 Games, began on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Curling is a precision sport where ice conditions are critical, making such disruptions particularly impactful. After a five-minute pause, power was restored and the competition resumed.

In other news, the official delegation roster for Ukraine's national team participating in the XXV Winter Olympic Games in 2026 has been approved. The delegation consists of 103 individuals, including:

  • 46 athletes
  • 42 coaches, doctors, massage therapists, and other technical staff
  • 15 members of the national team's headquarters staff
