On the 35th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, we reflect on our joint journey. This is a story of formation, struggle, and incredible triumphs that began with the debut of the Independent team in Lillehammer, Norway in 1994.

  • 41 gold medals

  • 43 silver medals

  • 76 bronze medals

In total, 192 Ukrainian athletes have climbed the Olympic podium. 47 of our compatriots became Olympic champions.

'The most “golden” for us remains Atlanta-1996 (9 highest quality medals). In terms of the total number of medals won, the record holders are Atlanta-1996 and Sydney-2000 — with 23 podiums at each Games!'

At the Summer Olympic Games, Ukraine has won medals in 18 sports. Most often, representatives of wrestling and athletics reached the podium, bringing home 21 medals each.

Biathlon is the undisputed leader among the Winter Olympic Games, having brought Ukraine 5 medals. Our athletes also reached the podium in freestyle (ski acrobatics) and figure skating.

Ukrainian athletes have proven to be a real force at the Olympic Games, winning a significant number of medals at both the Summer and Winter editions. Gold, silver, and bronze awards attest to the high level of training and talent of our athletes, who represent Ukraine with dignity at the most prestigious sporting events in the world.
