Eight OPEC+ member countries have agreed to increase oil production in September by 547,000 barrels per day, the organization's official statement reported.

'Considering the stable prospects of the global economy and current favorable market indicators, the eight member countries will adjust production to 547,000 barrels per day in September 2025 from the necessary production level in August 2025,' the press release notes.

This is equivalent to four monthly increases. The organization emphasized that the phased cancellation of additional voluntary production adjustments may be suspended or canceled depending on changing market conditions.

The logical decision to increase production was made against the backdrop of stabilizing global markets and low oil inventories, indicating an improvement in the situation in the global energy market. The meeting of the eight OPEC+ countries took place online.
