The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved preferential conditions for mobile communication users who are in combat zones. Now, SIM cards of such subscribers will not be blocked for non-payment, and during the first connection to the network, they will be provided with a free communication package.

As reported by 'Legal Telegram', the innovation also applies to requirements for internet speed - now this indicator must be explicitly stated in the agreement between the operator and the user.

Reform of electronic communications

These measures are part of a large-scale reform of electronic communications aimed at protecting consumer rights and improving the quality of communication services. The reform provides for enhanced protection against spam - operators have been granted the right to block numbers from which mass unwanted calls are made. Users will be able to manage services themselves through a personal account, giving them greater control over communication expenses.

Particular attention is paid to the transparency of internet service provision. Contracts must specify the actual connection speed, and for its violation, consumers will be able to complain to the National Commission for Electronic Communications or go to court.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved new privileges for mobile communication users in temporarily occupied territories, which include a free communication package and prevent the blocking of SIM cards for non-payment. These measures are part of the reform of electronic communications aimed at protecting consumer rights and improving service quality.
