According to a recent Politico poll, one and a half hundred Americans believe that the best days for the country are in the past. The poll, conducted in mid-October, found that 49% of respondents think that the best times belong to the past, while only 41% believe that better days lie ahead, and just 10% feel that those times have already arrived, reports Glavkom.
Americans are divided into optimists and pessimists regarding the future of their country. Supporters of President Donald Trump tend to be more optimistic, believing that the best days are still ahead, compared to supporters of former Vice President Kamala Harris, who generally think that the best is already behind.
Pessimism about the 'American Dream'
This sentiment is also reflected in views about the 'American Dream.' 46% of adult Americans believe that such a dream no longer exists, especially among people under 45 years old. Only 26% of respondents do not share this statement, while 28% have no clear position on the matter.
A recent survey revealed that Americans express doubts about the future of their country and the 'American Dream.' Divided views among voters show that supporters of different political leaders have distinct perspectives on what awaits their state ahead.
