The analytics firm Opta has released its latest forecast, giving Arsenal a 29.73% probability of winning this season's UEFA Champions League. The London club has already advanced past German side Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16. Their next challenge in the quarter-finals will be against Portugal's Sporting CP. The current titleholder in the competition is the French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Opta's Ranking of Champions League Favorites

In Opta's ranking of favorites to win the tournament, Bayern Munich sits in second place with an 18.33% chance, followed by Barcelona in third at 15.66%. PSG holds fourth position with an 11.87% probability, while Real Madrid and Liverpool have 9.85% and 7.12% chances, respectively. The lowest-ranked teams in this assessment are:

  • Atletico Madrid at 4.41%
  • Sporting CP at 3.03%

In a separate development related to 2026 World Cup qualification, the Ukrainian national team suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sweden in a playoff semi-final.
