The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced the introduction of new unmanned aerial complexes into the armed forces of the country. It was noted that over 80 new unmanned aerial vehicles with a fiber optic control channel are already being used in the Ukrainian army and are produced by domestic enterprises.

In particular, the troops are already using more than 25 Ukrainian interceptor unmanned aerial complexes designed to counter enemy strike drones. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.

'The Ministry of Defense is focusing more efforts and resources on the development and production of effective means of destruction that are critically necessary today. This includes, in particular, UAVs with fiber optic control channels and interceptor drones against enemy reconnaissance and strike drones.'

In addition, the Ministry of Defense plans to scale up the production of the most effective types of weapons, as well as implement unmanned aerial vehicles on fiber optics, which will ensure secure control and video transmission from any radio electronic interference.

Mass production and use of Ukrainian drones on fiber optics will begin in 2025.
