Corruption in the Ukrainian railway system has once again 'spiked'. This time, the head of one enterprise decided to indulge in 'requests' and stole something like 2.5 million hryvnias during the purchase of spare parts for locomotives. What a disaster!
After a thorough investigation, it was revealed that the individual, together with several 'assisting' persons, decided to uplift his mood at the expense of the stolen money. Thus, he organized a whole scheme that led to enormous losses for the Ukrainian railway. The investigation showed that he purchased spare parts 'expensively', while their price plummeted in express mode. So, the entire noisy funeral cost over 2.5 million hryvnias. Bad, no matter how you look at it.
According to the results of the forensic economic examination, damages exceeding 2.5 million UAH were inflicted on the branch of JSC 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.
But thank God, such robbers do not go unnoticed. The prosecutor's office is here and has accused the suspect of fraud and property transfer through deception. Now we can only hope that this case won't be the last, and such robbers will receive their deserved 'consequence'.
