Starting from November 1, Oschadbank will charge 150 UAH for servicing inactive current accounts without a card. The bank has previously changed tariffs for certain services. The new terms are reported by PMG.ua.
For which accounts will Oschadbank charge 150 UAH starting from November 1
The fee will apply to current accounts without a payment card that clients do not use. The new terms will take effect on November 1.
If the account balance is less than 150 UAH, the bank will only deduct the available amount. There will be no debt due to this fee, and the account balance will be reset to zero.
How to avoid deductions from an inactive account
If the account is still needed, the client should perform a transaction. This can be a top-up, payment of utility bills, or a purchase in a store. At the same time, it is better to confirm with Oschadbank support which specific transactions count as activity and cancel the inactive account status.
Previously, the bank has already deducted fees for inactive accounts, but those terms applied to accounts that had not been used for at least a year.
If the account is no longer needed, it can be officially closed at a branch. This way, the client can avoid further deductions. Similar fees for servicing inactive products have also been introduced by other banks, including fees for inactive cards by PrivatBank.
