Capital schoolchildren will soon start their autumn holidays, which this year will last a week — from October 27 to November 2. The Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes that this break is especially important for children who continue to study under martial law.
The educational process in Kyiv has been taking into account the security situation for the fourth year in a row. Constant air alerts, changing formats of education, and psychological tension affect both students and teachers.
'Kyiv schoolchildren have been studying in wartime conditions for the fourth year in a row. Constant tension, air alerts, changing formats of education require great efforts from children and teachers. Therefore, this week of rest is very important to restore strength, spend time with family, and return to learning with new energy,' said the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Valentyn Mondryivskyi.
During the holidays, thematic events, club activities, and creative studios are planned in schools and extracurricular institutions in the capital. The administration advises parents to involve children in safe activities that will help them distract from tense routines.
Also, let’s remind you that the law on school safety has come into effect: what will change for students and parents.
These autumn holidays will be a time of rest and recovery for Kyiv schoolchildren who continue to study in the conditions of a military conflict. The opportunity to spend time with family will be important, ultimately giving children the chance to finally rest from the everyday stresses and worries associated with learning in difficult conditions.
