Ukrainians have been warned about a possible rise in prices for basic vegetables. According to Dmitry Solomchuk, a member of parliament from the 'Servant of the People' party, a price increase is expected from October 15, especially for oil, which may amount to at least 40%.
The price increase will also affect other products such as vegetables, meat, and milk. This is related to the lack of storage for vegetables, rising prices for animal feed, electricity, and a shortage of qualified labor.
As for vegetables, as usual. In spring, imports will predominate... And domestic products will run out quite quickly. Vegetables will have quite a high price. Regarding dairy and meat products, prices for grain crops and everything else are rising, both for sunflower and for corn, soy, wheat. So a decrease in prices cannot be predicted in any way, especially since there is a shortage of labor. Business owners are already just chasing after qualified workers, buying them from each other... And electricity - the price is quite high. And all this has its consequences. Of course, the main reason is the war, as a result of all this. But, the components of electricity, the components of product storage, the components of salaries for teams, producers, lead to such increases...
Fortunately, the price of potatoes, according to Solomchuk's forecasts, will remain stable if there are no storage problems.
The promised leap in prices for basic vegetables in Ukraine may negatively affect consumers' wallets, especially in conditions of economic instability. An increase in prices for oil and other products is predicted, which may become a significant factor in shaping the market situation in the country.
