Personal Account for Insured Individuals
The Ukrainian Pension Fund provides a personal online account for insured individuals, accessible at portal.pfu.gov.ua. Accessing this portal requires authentication through one of several secure digital methods. This system is part of a broader government effort to digitize public services and make them more accessible to citizens, especially those abroad or unable to visit offices in person.
Authentication Methods
One method is using a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES). A QES can be obtained from an accredited key certification center. A list of trusted electronic service providers is available on the website of the Central Certification Authority of Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation. To log in with a QES, users must select the 'Login' menu on the web portal, choose the 'By QES' tab, select the relevant Accredited Certification Service Provider, upload their QES, enter a password, and complete the login.
Alternatively, users can authenticate via Diia.Pidpys. This requires two devices: a computer or laptop and a smartphone or tablet with the Diia app installed. On the web portal, the user selects the 'Login' menu, chooses the 'Diia.Pidpys' tab, and clicks 'Get login code'. They then scan the displayed QR code with the Diia app, confirm the authorization request and photo verification within the app, and finally enter a five-digit code to gain access.
Another available option is ID.GOV.UA. For this, a user selects the 'ID.GOV.UA' tab in the 'Login' menu, chooses their bank from the list, and follows their bank's specific instructions to log in via BankID. These diverse authentication methods provide convenient and secure access to the personal account, enabling insured individuals to easily obtain necessary information and services from the Ukrainian Pension Fund.
The introduction of these electronic authentication methods on the Pension Fund's web portal represents a significant step in the digitalization of state services. It simplifies and speeds up citizens' access to information, thereby increasing the efficiency of government institutions. Given the growing use of digital technologies, such initiatives are becoming increasingly vital for ensuring the convenience and accessibility of social services for all users.
