Tyson Fury has once again spoken about the third fight with Oleksandr Usyk and this time declared that the trilogy is already «in development». The Ukrainian immediately responded to the Brit, effectively maintaining the intrigue around a possible bout. Earlier, Usyk had already agreed to a third fight with his former opponent. Fury Announced a Third Fight with Usyk
Fury posted a message on Instagram, in which he directly stated about the preparation of the trilogy. The Brit described the possible meeting as «the last dance» of two representatives of the modern era of boxing.
«The trilogy with Usyk is in development. This is the land of real men, it's time to return! The last dance between the warriors of the modern world. The continuation will come», — wrote Fury.
Usyk did not leave the statement unanswered. The Ukrainian addressed his former opponent in the usual joking style characteristic of their rivalry.
«Hey, Tyson, I'm coming for you, my brother. You are a greedy belly», — replied Usyk.
This is not the first such exchange of statements between the boxers in 2026. Back in May, Fury threw a new challenge at Usyk, after which the Ukrainian stated his readiness to meet him in London, Las Vegas, New York, or Saudi Arabia.
At the same time, Fury's current words do not yet mean that the third fight is officially agreed. There is currently no information about a signed contract, date, or venue for the bout.
Who Could Be Usyk's Last Opponent
The intrigue intensifies due to the plans of the 39-year-old Ukrainian to end his professional career. In August, Usyk stated that he intends to hold one more major fight before leaving professional boxing.
So far, Deontay Wilder has been considered one of the main candidates for this fight. The option of meeting the American knockout artist has been discussed throughout 2026, although there has also been no official announcement of the bout.
A third meeting with Fury could become a significantly more symbolic conclusion to Usyk's career. The Ukrainian defeated the Brit twice in 2024: in the first fight, the judges' decision was split, while in the rematch, all three judges awarded the victory to Usyk.
Thus, for Fury, the third bout would be an opportunity for revenge, and for Usyk — to conclude his career with yet another fight against one of the main rivals of his era. However, until official confirmation, the trilogy remains only a possible scenario.
