She notes that weight quickly returns after treatment ends, especially if no exercise is undertaken.
An analysis covering 37 studies involving over 9,000 people showed that the average weight gain per month after stopping therapy is 0.4 kg. Returning to baseline weight is possible within 1.7 years. It is important to note that after stopping 'Ozempic', glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels may not be in the best condition after 1.4 years. Moreover, weight regain after using 'Ozempic' will be four times higher than after conventional weight loss.
Oksana Skytalinska emphasizes that obesity is a chronic condition that needs to be treated not only with medications.
She stresses that short-term use of medications without lifestyle changes is a dead-end path. This underscores the importance of a comprehensive approach to treating obesity and weight management.
