In Pakistan, rescuers discovered the body of a man in a glacier who went missing 28 years ago. The police confirmed that this is the body of a man who disappeared in June 1997 after falling into a crevice in the glacier. The body was well preserved, and the clothing remained intact.
“What I saw was incredible. The body was whole. The clothing was not even torn,” said shepherd Omar Khan, who found the man.
According to local reports, the man was Nasruddin, whose identification card was found near the body. It is known that he had a wife and two children. Professor Muhammad Bilal explained that when a human body falls into a glacier, the intense cold instantly freezes it, preventing decomposition.
Another example of a similar situation is a case in Istanbul, where the body of a 25-year-old man was found with a black garbage bag over his head. There were no documents found near him.
The news that a body was found in Pakistan of a man who went missing 28 years ago shocked many. Frozen by nature and ending up in a glacier, a person can remain almost untouched for a long time, which impresses with its astonishing preservation. This only underscores the powerful force and influence of large glaciers on everything that finds itself in their cold embrace.
