The Ukrainian government has launched a new support program for parents in preparing their children for the first grade. Under this program, families of future first graders will be able to receive a one-time financial assistance of 5,000 hryvnias through the 'Diia' application. This money can be spent on school supplies, children's clothing, and footwear. Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Telegram channel.
Families whose children are already accepted into the first grade will receive push notifications in the 'Diia' application and will have the opportunity to apply for the 'School Package' 2025. To do this, it is necessary to find the relevant section in the application, indicate the child, fill out the application, link a bank card, and confirm the application with an electronic signature. Applications will be accepted until November 15, 2025, and after receiving the funds, parents will have 180 days to spend them on necessary school supplies. By the way, innovations are already being introduced in Ukrainian schools.
This program is aimed at supporting families in preparing children for school and will help reduce the financial burden on parents during this important period. Children are the future of the country, so it is important to create conditions for their development and learning.
