Remembering Mykola Nykolaychuk
For over seven years, Mykola Nykolaychuk served as a dedicated investigator, earning the respect and admiration of many. In June 2024, amid ongoing conflict, he volunteered to join a special rifle battalion, choosing to defend his homeland during this critical period. Mykola mastered aerial reconnaissance and was rigorously trained to carry out combat missions demanding both courage and expertise.
Tragically, on September 21, 2025, at just 28 years old, Mykola lost his life while on a mission in the Donetsk region. He left behind grieving parents, a younger brother, his wife, and his young daughter Viktoriya, who now live without their loving husband and father. His enduring words,
“It is better to die fighting than to kneel before the enemy,”capture the spirit and patriotism he lived by.
Commemorating a Fallen Hero
Mykola Nykolaychuk’s name is inscribed in the Book of Remembrance dedicated to law enforcement personnel who sacrificed their lives protecting Ukraine. There is also an online memorial platform where people can share stories and honor fallen police officers. His wife shared her heartfelt tribute:
“He was the best father. I am grateful to God for every day we had together. He is my Hero, and our love will forever remain in my heart!”The memory of Mykola continues to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
