US President Donald Trump has proposed a hypothesis about a possible link between the increase in autism cases in children and the use of acetaminophen (paracetamol) during pregnancy. Scientists are reviewing research data to confirm this theory, while US authorities are already preparing recommendations for pregnant women regarding the use of this drug.

In addition, the Trump administration is also considering the possibility of using leucovorin (folinic acid) in the treatment of autism, emphasizing that this disease may not be as incurable as previously thought. Meanwhile, the President and the US Secretary of Health have previously expressed hypotheses about a possible connection between autism and vaccination.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in every 31 eight-year-old children encounters autism. In recent years, the number of cases has noticeably increased, raising questions about its causes and possible treatments.

A Ukrainian journalist reports on the hypotheses and recommendations of US President Donald Trump regarding possible causes and methods of treating autism in children. Research on this issue could significantly contribute to providing assistance to pregnant women and parents of children with this disease.
