Discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine

The Chiefs of Staff of the armed forces of the 'Coalition of the Willing' countries discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and their implementation during a meeting in Paris. This important event took place with the participation of:

  • Chief of the French Armed Forces General Fabien Mandon,
  • Chief of the British Armed Forces General Rich Nuton,
  • Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Andriy Hnatov,
  • Commander of the U.S. Armed Forces in Europe General Alexis Grinkevich.

The videoconference held among the Chiefs of Staff focused on discussing security guarantees in Ukraine. The participants of the meeting thoroughly examined the conditions for implementing these guarantees. Importantly, the planned meeting of Ukraine's allies will take place on January 6 in Paris, where leaders will again gather to discuss further steps.

International support and importance of the issue

In the context of these discussions, General Fabien Mandon emphasized that security guarantees in Ukraine and the conditions for their implementation were at the forefront during the videoconference. More than 27 leaders and high-ranking American negotiators Steve Witikoff and Jared Kushner joined President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, underscoring the significance of this issue on the international stage.

The discussion of security guarantees for Ukraine within the 'Coalition of the Willing' highlights the activation of international support for Ukraine amid ongoing military aggression. The meeting in Paris and planned further negotiations signify the growing attention of world leaders to security issues in the region, as well as a commitment to ensure stability and support for Ukraine on the international arena.
