Germany and the USA have reached an agreement on supplying five Patriot systems to Ukraine. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that these systems will be delivered to the front line as soon as possible. The agreement was announced during the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the 'Ramstein' format.

'During my trip to Washington last week, I agreed with Pete Hegslet that Germany would contribute to delivering the five urgently needed Patriot systems as soon as possible,' said Pistorius.

The minister added that the planning for the implementation of the agreement will be completed within the next few days, involving partners for joint actions. Additionally, Germany will provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems and ammunition.

Support for Ukraine from the USA and Germany

At the meeting in the 'Ramstein' format, a campaign to supply arms to Ukraine began, involving 52 countries. The USA also joined the 'coalition of the determined' and threatens severe sanctions against Russia if it does not cease fire by September 2.
