The Passing of Patriarch Filaret
Patriarch Filaret of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine has died in hospital following a severe illness. He was admitted on March 9 after his health deteriorated. A funeral liturgy will be held on the morning of Sunday, March 22. Following this, a solemn procession will carry the Patriarch's body to the St. Volodymyr's Cathedral, where, in accordance with his will, the burial service will take place. The rites of interment are also scheduled for Sunday, March 22.
