Exclusive Comment from Pavlo Zibrov

Ukraine's People's Artist, Pavlo Zibrov, has officially dismissed speculation that he serves as a godfather to popular singer Iryna Bilyk or to the family of fellow singer Alina Hrosu. In his statement, Zibrov clarified that he did not participate in the baptism of Hrosu's younger brother and is not Bilyk's godfather. He also explained that he missed the christening of Hrosu's son because he was performing a solo concert on Kyiv Day, which fell on the same date as the ceremony.

Zibrov emphasized that his friendships with Iryna Bilyk and Alina Hrosu's family remain strong:

“I didn't baptize them, but that's what people say. I didn't do a baptism with Iryna Bilyk, but I'm flattered. I have good relations with the parents and with Alina. I truly love this family.”
According to Zibrov, singer Iryna Bilyk did serve as the godmother for Hrosu's newborn son.

Kyiv Day Concert

It is worth noting that Hrosu's son's christening took place on the same day Zibrov was scheduled for a solo concert celebrating Kyiv Day.

“Kyiv Day was that day, so I couldn't attend the christening. They called and invited me. I had a solo concert. I have wonderful feelings for them. I am very grateful to them,”
the artist added.

Zibrov also addressed being called a 'godfather' within the show business context due to his mentorship of emerging artists.

“Anya Trincher also says: 'He is my godfather.' That's fine, but I'm a godfather in show business. These are different things,”

he noted, underscoring the importance of supporting young talent in the industry. He also recalled collaborating with Andriy Kravchenko on a duet:

“He says at concerts: 'This is my show business godfather.'”

In summary, Pavlo Zibrov has refuted the godparent rumors, reaffirming his friendly ties with the artists and the significance of nurturing new talent in the entertainment world.

This situation highlights how crucial friendships and support networks are within Ukrainian show business, where artists frequently interact on a professional level. As a veteran of the industry, Zibrov sets an example of how to balance professional and personal relationships while helping younger talents thrive. It also demonstrates that rumors surrounding celebrities can be misleading and often require official clarifications to protect reputations.

In light of Zibrov's comments, it's interesting to note that Iryna Bilyk has taken on a significant role in Alina Grosu's family, having baptized her newborn son. This highlights the close-knit relationships within the Ukrainian music scene, where friendships often extend beyond professional boundaries.
